Who will stand for the Lord?

Sometimes…God will test you to see just how serious you are in your walk with Him. Like Job, sometimes you might have to trust in God in spite of what you see and what you hear – even from other Christians. Like Christ, you might have to stand alone when the hour of testing comes. Like John and Mary Magdalene, you might have to look in the face of what seems to be the end (as they looked on Christ’s death at the crucifixion) and yet, stand anyway – still faithful. Still willing. Still with faith. Then, you shall see the Face of God. This is when you shall see the victory – and it may not be immediately, but stand strong, firm in your faith – that it WILL come – because God is NOT a man that He can or will lie.

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1 Peter 5:10

“Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about to do before your eyes!” – 1 Samuel 12:16

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today.” – Exodus 14:13

“You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.”- 1 Chronicles 20:17

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” -Deuteronomy 34:8

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”- Isaiah 41:10

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” – 2 Chronicles 15:7
