The Harvest IS coming….. You’re too close to give in.

I dare you to praise God in spite of the circumstances, setback, heartache, lack, rejection, pain, insecurity, depression, grief, loneliness, anger—– whatever it is…. I DARE YOU RIGHT NOW! Give God some praise because greater is coming, and those who have endured and are beginning to question if it is all worth it. You’re thinking “what does it matter if I go back to my old ways, everyone else is and it doesn’t seem to make a difference.” I’m here to tell you – YOUR PATH IS NOT EVERYONE ELSE’S PATH. You’re thinking “Life seemed easier when I was in the world, since I’ve surrendered to God, I just keep getting hardship after hardship….” The work He is doing is you is producing a greater glory – you may not see it now -but what is to come is greater than what has been. Jesus was crucified and He never even sinned, He endured the cross for our sake….so we must endure for Him.

Trust me, I KNOW you get tired of hearing the harvest is coming. You’ve been laboring, sowing, and growing in God, yet you still lack and people tell you “Keep holding on, your time is coming” but that does not make you feel any better right now. Especially after a few months, let alone a few years….but we must remember, this life is not about our rewards, but about building the Kingdom of God. We have to trust God enough to focus on Him and His kingdom first, putting others above ourselves as we go out and fulfill His great commission (sharing the Good News of Christ’s Salvation), as we focus on God, His Kingdom, and sharing salvation as we are called, God works in us to accomplish His will and purpose and with that comes blessing, favor, and the desires of your heart (that fall in line with God’s way).

Your time is coming, though it may not make you FEEL good right now, let this feed your spirit and help you during the times you feel ready to give up and walk away —and when necessary, talk to God about how you feel, don’t keep it bottled up acting like everything is peachy, God is not afraid of your feelings….personally I find it better to vent my frustration and anger to God. He never takes your words the wrong way, He doesn’t get upset with how you feel, He doesn’t get in His feelings about what you are saying and takes the focus off how you are feeling…and most of all – GOD DOESN’T GOSSIP! You can trust whatever you share with Him to stay with Him (unless He reveals to someone who can and will help you by His Spirit and even in that instance, He only tells them what they need to know and not all your business).

Romans 5:3-5 “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

James 1:2-4 “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

1 Peter 5:10 “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

1 Peter 4:12 – 19 “Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner. If you’re abused because of Christ, count yourself fortunate. It’s the Spirit of God and his glory in you that brought you to the notice of others. If they’re on you because you broke the law or disturbed the peace, that’s a different matter. But if it’s because you’re a Christian, don’t give it a second thought. Be proud of the distinguished status reflected in that name! It’s judgment time for God’s own family. We’re first in line. If it starts with us, think what it’s going to be like for those who refuse God’s Message! If good people barely make it, What’s in store for the bad? So if you find life difficult because you’re doing what God said, take it in stride. Trust him. He knows what he’s doing, and he’ll keep on doing it.”
