Sometimes, we need to be reminded just how much God loves us…and furthermore, that us being here is NOT by choice..God called us..He compelled us…and NO ONE, no matter who they are, how many biblical degrees they have, how long they have been ordained or serving in the church – NO ONE can separate you from the Love of God…Christ promises He will not lose a single soul given to Him by our Father!
Understand, you were handpicked from among many – God already knows who will serve Him and who will betray Him in the end and He desires to give life to those who will serve Him. When you accepted Christ (if you did so with seriousness) you became sealed and connected to God for eternity…this is why it is so hard for you when you try to go back into the world and do the old things you used to do. You can’t connect with those old friends who are still doing the same thing – you won’t fit in. You can’t pick up that pipe or needle and shoot up again, you won’t feel the same high, it’ll always make you feel lower. You certainly can’t drown yourself in parties and sex, they won’t fill you up – trust me…I’ve tried.
Once you have tasted the goodness and freedom that comes form truly loving, serving, and knowing Christ intimately you cannot turn back no matter how hard you try because you have been sealed, seeds have been planted, the glorification/purification process has begun and when God sows – HE WILL RECEIVE A RETURN ON HIS INVESTMENT. He loves you so much He refuses to let you ruin your eternal life…so stop fighting it, don’t make it hard….let the world GO and consume yourself with our Father and His love…. run to Christ and make your home in Him.
“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will never drive away… And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day. For My Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise Him up at the last day.” ~John 6: 35-40
“No one can come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written, they will all be taught by God” ~John 6:44-45
On your own:
The Bible is full of love letters from God to us….messages further explaining God’s love for us through Jesus Christ (Who is the Word of God come in flesh to heal and save). Today, take a moment to write a love letter to God and express your love for Him in a way you have never done before. Put it in your journal for review over the months/years of your life. Post your love letter in the group (If you are in Fellowship of Christ, if not post on your page or to my wall, I welcome you)! to inspire others if you feel led! Selah!
